Who is part of the ‘We’ in WeMakeThe.City, and who benefits from its output? During this conference, we rethink the coalitions, roles and responsibility of these urban stakeholders, and discuss the production and distribution of value that come with it. With among others Manu Claeys (StRaten-generaal), Indy Johar (00, Dark Matters Laboratories), Laura Sobral (Doing It Together) and Charles Landry (Creative Bureaucracy Movement).
WeMakeThe.City originates from the experience that true innovation can only be established by working together with government, (small, middle and large-sized) businesses, knowledge institutions, societal organisations and –last but not least- the citizen. How and when can we use co-creation and participatory democracy as strategies for a more inclusive city; and how do we finance the city of, for and by all of us?
