A continuation of HeHe’s work about human made clouds, and specifically industrial emissions.
Zone2Source is an exhibition platform for art, nature and technology in het Glazen Huis in the Amstelpark. They present the exhibition CLEAN SOCIETY by artist duo HeHe – Heiko Hansen en Helen Evans.
The exhibition CLEAN SOCIETY is a continuation of HeHe’s work about human made clouds, and specifically industrial emissions: clouds emitted by nuclear power plants, fossil burning plants and incinerators. The title of the exhibition is borrowd from ‘Afval Energie Bedrijf’, Amsterdam’s waste to energy company, who promotes its services with the slogan “for a clean society”. The artists bring the infrastructure (the incinerator), the material (waste) and the communication around energy and waste inside of the exhibition space.
HeHe creates an eerie and poetic experience in het Glazen Huis, which is far removed from the idylic experience of nature the park proposes, and brings questions around consumption and waste production in direct relation to the residents of Amsterdam.
The exhibition opens on Saturday June 22th between 16:00 en 18:00. Thereafter you can visit the exhibition until August 24th in Het Glazen Huis.
