020 Emission-Free in 2025!

In Project 02025, leaders work together to make Amsterdam champion clean energy. In 2025 – at Amsterdams 750th anniversary – we want to celebrate exuberantly that this has been achieved. An accelerated switch to clean energy is not only a necessity, it also provides Amsterdammers with benefits: clean air, sustainable energy, employment, solidarity, and pride.

We realise that this is only possible through an ambitious and broad collaboration with everyone who’s willing and able. That is why we want to make these people visible and connect and empower them. Over the next few months, we will work towards the official launch of the project during the WeMakeThe.City festival in June. A festival all about the city makers.

GROW Festival

Ever ring up a tree? Or drink an algae cocktail? Discover this and more at GROW festival. GROW festival offers a progressive line-up at one of the most beautiful spots in the country; the desert island of Utopia! Enjoy the hip hop and electronic beats by Freddy Moreira, Dopebwo  and I am Aisha, just to name few, and take in the stunning view of Almere’s city skyline. And, as we are in the middle of nature anyway, we will unleash a green revolution with a content filled program that will blow your mind.

Docking Station: Stories Need to Be Told

With 9m², it’s the smallest workspace in North Amsterdam. But don’t be fooled by its size. This tiny hub at the IJ waterfront opposite the Tolhuistuin, contains the greatest ideas. Every month, a photographer (Docker) is invited by the photography platform Docking Station to exhibit his or her work. The goal is to move the visual stories of the ‘Dockers’ forward by facilitating collaborations with experts in the field and encounters with likeminded Dutchies. During the festival, the founders of Docking Station will tell and show three of those beautiful stories live on stage, like modern-day troubadours.
