Student Route

There is so much to do during WeMakeThe.City. But which events should not be missed as student or recently graduated?

You might be interested in visiting the exhibition at Amsterdam Museum, curated by the late mayor Eberhard van der Laan before his recent death. He intended the exhibition – and the objects that he selected – to be a conversation-starter about the future of Amsterdam.

Don’t miss the Opening Night of the first edition of our festival. We invited international speakers and change makers like the UK author Kate Raworth. Raworth gained notoriety with her recent book and unusual approach to the economy:  The Donought Economy. Students get a special discount of 50%.

During FuckUp Nights, four guests talk on their professional ‘fuckups’. FuckUp Nights Amsterdam is an event celebrating failure as part of any road to success. Be inspired by this empowering event.

WeMakeThe. City is more than all work and no play. How about a party! Pass by ROEF Festival on Friday for the best views of the city. On Saturday, De Ceuvel is hosting a party celebrating their 4th anniversary with open galleries and music that plays on long after the sun sets. On Sunday you can enjoy music, culture and food during Sunday Sounds in the idyllic garden of the Tolhuistuin.
