Jan Benthem (NL)
Jan Benthem graduated as an engineer and founded the office Benthem Crouwel Architects in Amsterdam together with Mels Crouwel. Furthermore, he is a member of the Royal Institute of Dutch Architects and an honorary member of the Association of German Architects.
Jan Benthem has given public lectures in the Netherlands and abroad, and has extensive experience as a lead architect of design teams in infrastructure and complex urban projects such as the North/South Line in Amsterdam and the renewal of the Central terminals of Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, and The Hague. Since 1988 he has been the chief architect of the Schiphol Airport.
