Damien Ragoucy

Damien Ragoucy designs and produces audio speakers at Kataposte that have three main characteristics. They are produced in their fablab in Paris and sold as kits that people can easily assemble. They publish the design plan on internet with and open-hardware license (Creative Commons with Attribution) to create a community around the project. Then they use common parts that people can find by themselves so that they can repair it and have a long lasting object. Their first model is a powerful nomad speaker that works on battery and is nominated for the INDEX Awards. It is meant to be used at home as well as being brought out to friends place or outdoor parties.
