As a lector Inclusive Education at The Hague University of Applied Sciences, Aminata Cairo is committed to establishing a cultural shift within the academic landscape. Aminata Cairo speaks on Monday 17 June, during Opening Night.
Although born and raised in the Netherlands, Cairo continued her academic career in anthropology and clinical psychology in the United States, where she obtained her doctorate in 2007. After returning to the Netherlands in 2015, she started working as a policy advisor for diversity and inclusiveness at Leiden University. Since 2018, she is Lector Inclusive Education at The Hague University of Applied Sciences.
