Agustin Flowalistik
Agustin is a product designer and digital fabrication educator currently living in Madrid, Spain. He has been working around digital fabrication since 2013 and is passionate about developing simple and accessible products, collaborating as a designer and betatester with industry leading companies. In 2018 he started Plastic Smoothie, a design project focused on accessible design and creative recycling that gives him the chance to create a positive impact on the environment. The project, nominated for the INDEX Award, is an open and creative project with a very simple goal: giving plastic waste a new life. The starting point was the need to find an easy and affordable way to recycle plastic in a maker environment. Project philosophy: 1. Affordable: we are trying to use electrical appliances for most of the project due to the reduced cost and availability. 2. Accessible: the machines should be easily found in stores or online and their use shouldn’t be difficult. 3. Open: this project is shared under a Creative Commons license and anyone can be part of it.
He has been named 3D Designer of the Year in the 3D Printing Industry Awards 2017, and I have been featured in The Economist, All3DP, Hackaday, Muy Interesante, and El Correo.
