Belgian, Flemish, Morrocan and Muslim, Khalid Benhaddou creates a dialogue between people with different cultures and faith, by making them understand eachother better. He leads the education network of experts on Islam and he gives talks at schools for student and staff to create a more inclusive school environment. He wrote in his recent book ‘Is this Islam then?’ an interpretation of islam which is contemporary, without failing the unique character of the religion. For his societal engagement he is crowned with several prizes, like the Belgian prize for human rights 2017. He also is the head of Platform for Flemish Imams.
